8/12 圃場の巡回・追肥の検討
8月12日にさがみ酒米研究会の圃場巡回を行いました。
泉橋の自社田と会員農家さんの田んぼをまわり、酒米の生育状況をチェック。
今回は主に、茎の中で生長しつつある幼穂(ようすい)の長さを測りました。この長さから穂が顔を出す出穂(しゅっすい)までの日数を予測して追肥時期の検討をしました。
楽風舞は早いところで9月初めから収穫適期が訪れそうです。着々と酒米の生長が進んでいます。

On August 12th, we conducted a field inspection with the Sagami Sake Rice Research Group.
We visited both our own fields at Izumibashi and those of our member farmers to check on the growth of the sake rice. This time, we measured the length of the developing panicles inside the stems. Based on this, we estimated the number of days until heading (when the panicles emerge) to help determine the best timing for additional fertilization.
For the Rakufumai variety, some fields may reach optimal harvest time as early as the beginning of September. The rice is growing steadily—another step closer to this year’s sake!
